It’s been such a joy to photograph this family, beginning with big brother while he was still in the womb. Fast forward a few years and we get to meet baby brother, Gavin.
Oh, how I miss those sweet days of freely popping into a sweet shop for treats during my sessions without a care in the world. Loved this sweet family / maternity session.
Would you believe me if I told you it was a hot day in SF when we shot this session? Fortunately, my client’s response when I told her about the fog was, “It’s 2020, I’m not surprised.” Although I didn’t get the sunset glow I was going for, I think the fog added an element of romance to this session, don’t you?
I don’t go to the East Bay often but I’m beginning to think that I should because just look at this beautiful light peaking through the redwoods. That bokeh is bokehlicious!
We weren’t sure if the Golden Gate Bridge would be visible due to the smoke from the ongoing fires but it was perfect. So worth this family making the long drive into the city from the central valley.
It’s true, I look at the world behind a 35mm frame. Every time I dine at The Cavalier, I see nooks and corners of perfectly positioned images. Like little soldiers, my sister and her family made the trek from the East Bay into the city to fulfill my vision.
This year, my sister’s family has a new member - an “illegitimate” love child of my brother-in-law. Fresh off the driveway, meet the 1979 Firebird Trans Am. Needless to say, it wasn’t a warm welcome at first from my sister or their girls, but I have to admit that she’s quite a beauty. This session is dedicated to my brother-in-law. Life is too short. Live!
Not knowing how many more Christmas they’ll get to spend with Beans (their family dog), this special session was dedicated to the boy himself. We love you, Beans!
This was my third year photographing Priyanka and her family - and easily my favorite. Although I have to admit that I feel at way after every session with them. Here are their first and second session - which is your favorite?
Thanks to my adventurous clients, I discovered a new favorite spot at the Marin Headlands. It may not have been the easiest location for a photo session, but it was well worth it.
