San Francisco Family Session - Revisiting a Favorite Client

This was my second invitation back to photograph this beautiful family.  We first met in December of 2014 for Sage's first photo session.  We met again last year for Sage's first birthday party.   This year is an exciting one - ready or not, Sage, you're getting a sibling!   I feel so privilege for the honor of documenting such happy moments in their lives.  I cannot wait to meet their new addition!

My flight to LAX was delayed, Natalie's nap time was off, Tsujita's ramen line was too long.  I was getting restless and anxious because the sun was setting before our eyes.  It was not in the stars for me to give Jane a proper photo session but what came at the perfect time was an email from her doctor, revealing the gender of baby #2.  Just as I had mentally resigned all hopes, we stopped by a cute shopping plaza in Santa Monica and found ourselves at Sweet Rose Creamery.  Because if all else fails, ice cream makes everything better.

This is my third year taking my sister's annual family photo, which doubles as a pampering session for my sister and her girls because I come over to do their hair and makeup beforehand.  While I made sure they know how lucky they are to receive my services, I secretly love our sessions because my sister gives me full reign over the entire process.  The reward of seeing my vision come to life is unmeasurable.
